ABSENTEE BALLOTS NOW AVAILABLE FOR SOUTH HADLEY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 1 ELECTION

Absentee ballots for the upcoming Fire District 1 election on March 3rd are now available at the District Clerk/Treasurer’s office, 144 Newton Street in South Hadley.

Registered voters who will be out of town on election day, or unable to attend the polling place due to disability, health or religious belief may vote by absentee ballot. Ballots are available and may be completed at the Clerk/Treasurer’s office. Those interested in voting by absentee ballot are advised to call the office in advance at 413-538-9044 ext 3  to ensure that the office is open.

In addition, applications for absentee ballots may be obtained on behalf of family members in person, by mail, by email to ibrezinsky@shdistrict1.org, or by clicking here. All absentee ballots must be received at the District Clerk/Treasurer’s office by the close of the polls on March 3rd.

The election will take place on Tuesday, March 3 at South Hadley High School in the cafeteria during the same hours as the presidential primary and the annual South Hadley Town election. This is the second year that both Fire Districts will conduct their elections at the same time and place as the Town election.
